Best value for occasional use
Lightweight transport chair
Category recommendation
Why we chose it. If the chair is for appointments and the occasional day out, a transport chair does the job for a fraction of the money. Small wheels all round, someone else pushes, folds flat. We have not yet approved a specific model here because the category is full of near-identical chairs and we will not put a name on one we have not gone through properly.
Is this the right one?
Buy it for
- Occasional use: appointments, airports, a day out
- Buyers who want the lowest sensible spend on a second chair
- Households that already have a primary chair
Do not buy it for
- Anyone who wants to move themselves: there is nothing to push on
- Daily or all-day use
- Uneven ground
Specifications
Specifications for this category are still being verified against the manufacturer. We publish a number when we have sourced it, and not before: on mobility equipment a wrong weight capacity is a safety problem, not a typo.
What else to look at
Shown because they cover the same ground, not because they cost more. If one of these is a better fit for your situation, buy that one.
